About Gary

Professor Gary Watt is a specialist in humanities research around the subject of law. Based in the School of Law at the University Warwick, he co-founded the journal Law and Humanities in 2007. He holds a PhD in rhetorical performance in Shakespeare and the law and a Leverhulme Major Research fellowship (2019-22) focused on rhetorical performance in politics, media, and law. He was named UK “Law Teacher of the Year 2009” and is a “National Teaching Fellow”.
